Anthem professional to accept helm at Optima Health

Optima Health Chief executive officer Michael Dudley will retire in the finish of the season, the Virginia Beach, Veterans administration., health plan announced Friday.

Dudley, that has been using the insurer 21 years, is going to be been successful by Dennis Matheis, that has offered with national insurer Anthem within the last 13 years, most lately as president of Anthem’s central region and also the exchanges.

Matheis also brought integration efforts in Anthem’s suggested merger with Cigna Corp., which fell through captured. Matheis will end up president of Optima Health insurance and senior corporate v . p . of Sentara Healthcare, the system that owns Optima.

Dudley announced his decision to retire internally in November 2016.
